Privacy Policy

We handle your data carefully and only to make Pantrics work. This policy covers the website as well as the mobile apps for iOS and Android.

What we store

We store: your email address, display name, your pantry, your shopping list, household relations and your household address. In addition, if you use those features: photos of products, labels, receipts and plates, your health and nutrition data (weight, goals and what you eat), your subscription status and a device token if you turn on notifications. We never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Health and nutrition

Weight, calorie and protein goals and your food log are used only to calculate your own overviews. Housemates cannot see them, unless you add a meal to the shared weekly menu yourself. We never use them for advertising and never sell them. Pantrics is not a medical device and does not give medical advice; talk to a doctor or dietitian about health questions.

Photos and AI

When you take a photo of a product, label, receipt or plate, we send it to an AI service to recognise what is on it. Text you type for recipes or suggestions goes there too. The AI service does not use your photos or text to train models. Recognised photos are kept with the matching entry so you can see them back; delete the entry or turn off keeping meal photos and the photo is gone.

Location

If you enter an address for your household, we complete it through Google Places and store the address with its coordinates, so we can show delivery services in your area. The app never asks for your device location.

The app on your device

The app uses the camera, photo library and notifications only after you grant permission. You can refuse or later withdraw each permission; the rest of the app keeps working. Your preferences and a read cache of your lists are stored locally on your device so the app stays usable without a connection. Delete the app and that local part goes with it.

Third parties

We work with: our hosting provider for the database and file storage (all your stored data and photos), an AI service for photo and text recognition (the photo or text you submit), Google Places for address completion (what you type in the address field), Stripe for payments (your email address and subscription; your card details never reach Pantrics) and Apple and Google to deliver push notifications (the device token and the content of the notification). Pantrics contains no tracking or analytics SDK whatsoever and works with no advertising partners.

Security

All data is stored encrypted. Only members of your household can see your lists.

Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. Checked-off groceries, chat messages and suggestion history are cleaned up automatically before that. If you delete your account, everything is erased within 30 days. The full table is on /databeleid.

Your rights

At any time you can view and delete your data through the settings. You can delete your account directly in the app, under Settings. To request an export of your data (portability), email info@pantrics.com; you will receive it within one month.
